Bulk Website Status & Parked Domain Checker

Manually checking if a website is online is easy. Checking 10,000 is a nightmare.

The Website Status & Parked Domain Checker automates the validation of URL lists. It doesn't just ping the server; it analyzes the response to tell you if a business is active, if the domain is for sale (parked), or if the company has rebranded and moved to a new URL.

Stop wasting time on dead links and focus on active opportunities.

Pricing and Scale

This enrichment is extremely cost-effective, allowing you to process massive datasets without breaking the bank.

Cost per check:

  • Standard Check: 0.20 credits
  • Protected Site (Proxy Retry): 0.60 credits (Only applied if the site blocks the standard check)

What you get for your money: With our credit packages, you can verify huge lists for a fraction of the cost of manual labor or competitor tools.

  • $20 Package (20,000 credits): Verify up to 100,000 websites.
  • $150 Package (200,000 credits): Verify up to 1,000,000 websites.

Why Use This Enrichment?

Most URL checkers are too simple. They only look at the "HTTP Status Code" (e.g., 200 OK or 404 Not Found). This is often misleading because a "Parked Domain" page (a page saying "This domain is for sale") actually returns a "200 OK" status.

This enrichment goes deeper:

1. Accurate Parked Domain Detection

We analyze the page content and DNS records to identify "Parked" domains. If a domain is expired and taken over by a registrar (like GoDaddy or Namecheap) to display ads, we flag it as Parked rather than Online. This saves you from pitching to empty shells.

2. Intelligent Redirect Tracking

Companies rebrand. If you check old-startup.com and it redirects to new-enterprise.com, we capture the Final URL. This allows you to update your database with the current, active domain.

3. Smart Proxy Retries

Modern websites often block automated bots, returning false "403 Forbidden" errors. This tool features an automatic "Retry with Proxy" setting. If a check fails due to protection, we instantly retry using a residential proxy to get the true status.

4. Detailed Error Reporting

We provide the raw HTTP status code and specific error messages (DNS failure, Connection Timeout, SSL Error), helping your technical team diagnose why a list is degrading.

Terminology & FAQ

HTTP Status Codes

  • 200: Success. The website is up.
  • 301/302: Redirect. The website moved to a new URL.
  • 403: Forbidden. The server blocked the request (often requires our Proxy retry).
  • 404: Not Found. The specific page or site does not exist.
  • 500+: Server Error. The website is experiencing technical issues.

What is a "Parked" domain?

A parked domain is a registered domain name that is not linked to a website service like email or web hosting. It usually displays a "For Sale" landing page. In the context of B2B data, a parked domain usually means the company has ceased operations.

Yes. You can check the homepage (e.g., example.com) or a specific page (e.g., example.com/blog/article).

Use Cases

CRM Data Hygiene

Old data rots. Run your entire CRM export through this enrichment to flag companies that have gone out of business (Parked/Unreachable) or rebranded (Redirected). This improves the health of your sales operations.

Cleaning Web Scraped Lists

When you scrape data from directories or Google Maps, many entries might be obsolete. Filter your scraped list by "Website Status" to remove low-quality leads before they enter your sales funnel.

Upload a list of backlinks or potential outreach targets. Identify which URLs are dead (404) to reclaim link equity or offer a replacement link to the webmaster.

Supplier Risk Management

For procurement teams, a supplier's website going offline is an early warning sign of financial trouble. Monitor your vendor list to detect silent failures early.

Ideal Workflows

1. The "Scrape & Clean" Workflow

Extract leads using the Google Maps Scraper or Instagram Followers Scraper. Immediately run the Website Status Checker to delete any result that isn't "Online". This ensures 100% of your outreach goes to active businesses.

2. The "Rebrand Discovery" Workflow

Import a list of old customer domains and run the enrichment. Create a filter where Website Status is Redirected. These rows represent companies that have changed their domain names. You can now update your records with the Final URL and reach out to congratulate them on their new brand.

3. The "Email Validation" Proxy

If you don't have a dedicated email verifier, checking the website is a great proxy. If company.com is unreachable or parked, it is highly likely that name@company.com will bounce.
